Should I File For Bankruptcy?

Should I File For Bankruptcy?

The decision to file bankruptcy is a difficult one.  There is no clear single answer for everyone, as each case must be analyzed on its merits.  However, if the idea of bankruptcy has come up in your mind….then its probably a sign that you should do everything in your power to learn about bankruptcy and your other options from an experienced bankruptcy lawyer.  And due to the prevalence of free consultations with Bankruptcy Attorneys, it shouldn’t cost anything to get expert legal advice.

Its only natural, everyone does everything they can to avoid filing for bankruptcy.  Some will borrow money from their friends and family.  Other people will take out high interest online loans.   Some will enter into a “debt consolidation” plan with a company like Freedom Debt Relief or National Debt Relief.  And many will just let the judgements come and suffer through years of wage garnishments and bank levies.

The problem with these “alternatives” to bankruptcy is that they usually only make matters worse.  Nearly all of my clients have engaged in at least one these bankruptcy alternatives, usually for many years.  The problem with these alternatives is that they always result in thousands of dollars in wasted money.  Money that could have been saved if they had properly explored their options beforehand.  Moreover, all of these options go hand in hand with suffering through years of bad credit.

The best advice for a person going through financial hardship is to talk to an experienced knowledgeable bankruptcy lawyer right away.  I’ve consulted with thousands of people and give free consultations to multiple people everyday.  Some people end up filing for bankruptcy.  Others do not.  At times bankruptcy is not the best answer.  It is a bankruptcy lawyer’s job to be truthful and look out for your best interest.

Although there are many resources available on the internet, it is often times misleading, confusing and difficult to understand.  There is no need to spend hours combing through the internet in order to try to make an informed decision.  A good bankruptcy attorney can give you an analysis within 30 minutes and clearly explain everything to you.

A good bankruptcy attorney will give you all of your available options and go over the pro’s and con’s of each course of action.  We know everyone hates the prospect of talking to a lawyer.  But don’t worry, we do not engage in any hard sell or pressure tactics.  And we treat everyone with the utmost respect.  We have clients who come to us years after their first consultation.  Its your decision to make…we can only help you to make an informed one.

Now that you have considered bankruptcy, talk to an experienced knowledgeable bankruptcy attorney to help you answer the question of whether or not you should file bankruptcy.  It is never too early to get informed of your options.
